"Where contemporary design meets minimal aesthetic."
A question we are often asked, 'do I need an interior designer?' or 'I'm not sure what I need, but I am aware that right now what I'm doing I'm getting it wrong on my own!'.
There's no one size fits all answer. Perhaps the question should be, what can an interior designer do for ME? After all, the interior design process and project are entirely individual, bespoke to each of our clients and their requirements.
A designer is much more than many people realise. Our role is a multi-faceted one, often involving hands on tasks and technical expertise to support you and ease your renovation journey.
We approach each project taking precise measurements and specifications of each space and location, which informs what can and cannot be achieved, also what will/will not be permitted. Knowledge of building, planning laws and restrictions, as well as an in-depth understanding of the technicalities of trades and materials is fundamental and provided every step of the way.
Following an in-depth consultation we will then start on initial design concepts and produce ideas & space plans that capture all that has been advised within your design brief.
We also will guide you through all aspects of the design and build journey and provide you with in-depth knowledge and countless creative ideas along the way, often totally exceeding expectations.
What will an Interior Designer Do?
We at House of Margot will tailor and create a bespoke, detailed, and comprehensive design scheme incorporating as much as you desire. From design work, renovation builds through to all styling at the final completion stages.
You'll will receive -

- Colour & finishes schemes (provided with fully detailed decorating schedule + plan)

- Support with your local authority throughout all planning stages
- Produced comprehensive design plans, visuals, sample and project boards

- Curate and procure a carefully considered collection of furniture, furnishings, fixtures and fittings
- Maintain all communications with and coordinate trades
- Manage and organise all procurement and the supply chain & logistics
- Enhance the flow of the space and maximise functionality
- Ensure the project is running on within the agreed budget

The challenge we faced was that our two boys, different ages, both had different ideas about how they wanted their room to be.
We contacted and spoke to Faye at House of Margot who was great. As someone who really struggles to visualise colours and how they work together I often approach any home improvement project with trepidation and then feel afterwards that I have got it slightly wrong.
I had never used an Interior Designer before and Faye was an absolute joy to work with, not only in the way she listened so that she could fully understand our style and preferences, but also in the way her passion for what she does is absolutely contagious.
